Praxus · Athlete Room August 2026

Ask us anything

Ten honest answers. Tap any question.

"It's a drink? Do you have any samples?"

Not yet, and we will not hand you something half-finished. The formula has been through three R&D labs and more than forty tasted versions, our production partner is selected in Atlanta, and the first run is scheduled for early October 2026.

The first cans off that line go to our athletes before the public. Sign early and you are not sampling the product, you are one of the people it launches around. Our first athlete started filming his documentary months before the first can existed. The partnership does not wait for the drink.

"How are you going to sell it?"

Ourselves, door by door, starting this October. Our own field team sells Praxus into coolers directly: fitness studios, specialty grocers, cafes. First doors open in Rhode Island and Boston, a founder-run pilot runs in Atlanta in parallel, and online subscriptions run alongside from day one.

No waiting on a national distributor to care about a new brand. The team knocks on the doors, stocks the shelves, and knows every buyer by name. City by city from there.

"What do you actually know about the beverage industry?"

It is the industry we come from. The founder spent a decade in CPG, most recently as a senior director at Coca-Cola, building supply chains and taking products to national shelves. Operations and sourcing are led by a supply-chain director from the functional-beverage world who came up through Nestlé. Formulation runs through a Brooklyn R&D lab with multiple clear-protein launches behind it.

Beverage is not new to us. The name on the can is.

"Why would a drink company make films?"

Because we cannot outspend the giants, and films beat ads anyway. Red Bull and Monster built empires on athletes and stories rather than commercials. We run that play our own way: earlier in an athlete's career, deeper in the story, in the sports the big brands ignore.

An ad disappears when the money stops. A good film about a real person keeps working for years, for the brand and for the athlete in it. The full films page shows how a project actually happens.

"What does a partnership cost me?"

Nothing, ever. We never ask for your money. No fee, no buy-in, nothing to purchase. What we ask for instead: access and trust for the film, exclusivity in one category (beverage) while we work together, and honest posts with the can once it ships.

Every agreement is written in plain English, and we want your family, manager, or lawyer reading it with you before you sign.

"I already have sponsors. Is that a problem?"

Almost never. Our exclusivity covers one category: beverages. Your helmet deal, your gear, your tire sponsor, your local backers, anything you sign later outside drinks: all untouched.

If you already have a drink sponsor, then no, we are not your partner, and we would tell you that in the first five minutes instead of wasting your season.

"Is the drink actually clean for sport?"

It is designed around that exact question. Caffeine-free, so there is no stimulant to manage. No botanical extracts at all, and botanicals are the single largest source of banned-substance contamination in sports nutrition. Every dose is disclosed on the label.

Third-party batch testing (Informed Sport, which tests every production batch against 285+ banned substances) is in process for can one. Until a batch has passed and is publicly listed we say "in process," not "certified," because that is the honest register. The full ingredient-by-ingredient evidence lives on the science page. Bring it to your trainer or your doctor. That is what it is for.

"I'm under 18." / "My kid competes."

Then the family is in the conversation from the first call, every time. No agreement happens without parents or guardians at the table and on the paperwork. No exceptions, no workarounds.

And because Praxus is caffeine-free with every dose disclosed, it is a drink a parent can actually read the label of and feel fine about. Parents and coaches are welcome to reach out on an athlete's behalf. Many do.

"I'm in college. What about NIL and eligibility?"

The deal gets built to fit the rules, not around them. Our first signed athlete plays at Virginia Tech, and his agreement was structured to fit NIL rules and his school's compliance process before anyone signed.

A partnership that risks your eligibility is worthless to both of us, so compliance is a design requirement, not an afterthought.

"What happens if Praxus doesn't make it?"

Fair question for any young company, so here is the honest frame. You never put money in, so you are never out money. The film we made together exists either way, and it is real professional content about your career that you would not otherwise have.

That is the floor. The upside is being early to a brand built by people who have done this at national scale before, with a plan you can read in this room. We think the ceiling is high. But we would rather you sign because the floor is safe and the people are serious than because anyone promised you a rocket.

Your question is not here?

Ask it straight and you will get it straight back: ajoyce@drinkpraxus.com, or the two-minute contact form. Skeptical questions welcome. They are usually the best ones.
